Back to (Driving) School

Back to (Driving) School

September 14, 2022

Dust off those backpacks, sharpen those pencils, and lay out your snazzy new threads, because school is back in session.

Parents everywhere are rejoicing that their kids are hitting the classroom once again. Back to school means school traffic, and it’s far too easy to be in a rush and bump the SUV in front of you.

Try these tips to stay safe in the drop-off lane:

  • Plan Your Route - Even if you’ve driven it 100 times, look at driving roads with less traffic to make your drop-offs safer.
  • D-FENSE - Drive defensively. Never assume the car in front or behind you will make the right move.
  • Avoid the Crowd - Hate sitting in a dangerous line? Leave earlier, or see if your school has an alternate drop-off location.

With a little planning and a lot of care, you can make the most chaotic part of your day a lot more pleasant—not to mention safer.

Have fun in school!
